Our farm is open to the public for a variety of special events throughout the year including U-Pick Lavender Days, Photography Sessions, Fridays on the Farm, Twilight Tuesdays and Family Farm Day. U-Pick Lavender Days

Visit Slate Hill Flower Farm to enjoy the lavender in bloom for U Pick Lavender Days in June & July. We grow 6 varieties of lavender that bloom at differing rates on a hill overlooking a scenic valley in historic Sharon Springs, NY.

Feel free to visit to cut lavender, walk the farm, relax a bit, and shop our lavender barn.

Special Events on the Farm

  • Fridays on the Farm

    July 14, 5-9pm

    Kick off your weekend while the lavender is in bloom with an evening on the farm. Visit the farm on Friday, July 14 to enjoy Golden Hour when the sun sets on our beautiful valley. It is the best time on the farm for light and to watch the sun set. Cut lavender, take in the view and savor a boxed dinner from Brimstone Bakery while you begin your weekend. Back Barn Brewing Company will be here with their summer beers and cider that are currently on tap. Boxed dinner menu: Grilled Mediterranean Chicken with Hummus and Summer Salad & Orzo Salad with Black Currants & Almonds, Fresh Fruit, Water, and Brownie or Cookies. Ticket includes boxed dinner for 1, and one bunch of lavender.

  • Twilight Tuesdays

    July 11, 5-9pm

    Join us for Golden Hour on the farm for Twilight Tuesdays while the lavender is in bloom. Relax as the sun sets, cut some lavender, walk the paths on the farm and savor a boxed charcuterie picnic in the lavender field. Make it a date night or bring friends. Ticket includes: boxed charcuterie for 1; local cheeses and meats, demi baguette, fruits, lavender dessert, water, and one bunch of lavender. Wine and Beer options will be available.

  • Weave & Wobble Basketmaking

    July 6, 10-2pm

    Join Colleen for Basketweaving on the farm! Cost of the class is $75, which includes weaving instruction, supplies, lavender snacks, and a bunch of lavender. You are welcome to bring a lunch, walk the farm and cut lavender during your time on the farm so allow enough time for making your basket and visiting the farm. Private Photography Sessions

Our farm offers a beautiful setting for capturing those special moments. The view, natural light, and of course our lavender help to provide a backdrop for engagement, family photos, senior portraits and more.

Fee is $50 for up to a 2 hour session and/or per party. Please note that we can only guarantee a private session during times when U Pick is not open. *We do not provide a photographer, but can provide a list of local professionals.
